The Problem
An aging 3-tab shingle roof (17 years old) had suffered severe wind damage, resulting in missing shingle tabs and exposed asphalt underlayment prone to leak risk.
Our Solution
Stripped the old shingle system to the deck, reinforced rafters with hurricane clips, nailed down new sheathing, applied a self-adhered secondary water barrier, and installed dimensional architectural shingles.
The Results
Completed a Class 4 impact-rated roof system with a 130 mph wind warranty. Provided the homeowner with a Wind Mitigation report, reducing their annual insurance premium by $1,800.
