The Problem
Failed lead flashing around the chimney joint was allowing heavy rain to penetrate the attic, resulting in ceiling drywall damage in the master bedroom.
Our Solution
Removed cracked barrel tiles around the chimney stack, replaced decayed 5/8" structural plywood, installed high-adhesion self-adhering water barrier, laid down custom counter-flashing, and reset the tiles.
The Results
Stopped all water penetration. Ceiling drywall was repaired and matching tiles were used, making the repair completely invisible from the street. Passed Fort Lauderdale municipal inspection.
